Lisa C. Bonner
Founding and Managing Partner

Ms. Lisa C. Bonner is a founding partner of Armitage International, L.C. and serves as the firm’s managing partner. Previously, she served as special assistant to Richard L. Armitage during his tenure as deputy secretary of state under the leadership of secretary of state Colin L. Powell. While at the State Department, Ms. Bonner covered a wide range of issues for the Deputy Secretary, focusing on the bureaus of East Asian & Pacific Affairs; Democracy, Human Rights, & Labor; Oceans & International Environmental & Scientific Affairs; Population, Refugees, & Migration; Legislative Affairs; Public Diplomacy & Public Affairs; and Management. In addition, Ms. Bonner served as liaison for Mr. Armitage’s media requests, speaking events, and public appearances. For her valued contributions, she was awarded the Department of State’s Superior Honor Award, as well as a Merit Award from Secretary of State Powell.

Prior to government service, Ms. Bonner served as executive assistant to Ambassador Armitage at his former company, Armitage Associates, LLC, as well as the firm’s office manager. Earlier in her career, she held executive assistant positions at Capital One, Inc. and InterOffice Management, Inc.

Ms. Bonner graduated from Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Minor in Political Science.
